Disclaimer

Effective May 20, 2026

The information provided by TrustCertified.org ("we", "us", or "our") on this website is for general informational and consumer-protection purposes only. All information is provided in good faith and is intended to help people identify potential fraud risks before sending money or sharing personal information.

1. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

TrustCertified.org is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"). Information provided by the Services should not be used to make decisions about a person's eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, tenancy, or any other purpose covered by FCRA or equivalent local law.

2. Not Legal or Financial Advice

Nothing on the Services is legal advice, financial advice, investment advice, medical advice, or professional advice of any kind. If you require professional advice, you should consult a licensed attorney, accountant, financial advisor, or other qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

3. Trust Assessments Are Informational

A Trust Assessment summarizes signals from publicly available data and our community fraud database. A "High Risk" verdict does not establish that a person has committed a crime. A "No fraud signals detected" verdict does not establish that a person is trustworthy or safe. You should always verify a person's identity in person, by video call, or through a trusted shared contact before sending money.

4. Third-Party Sources

The Services aggregate data from third-party sources including search engines, breach databases, public fraud databases, and image-search providers. We do not control these third-party sources and cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the underlying data. Third-party content is the responsibility of those providers.

5. Community Reports

User-submitted fraud reports reflect the opinions and experiences of individual users at the time of submission. We review reports before publishing, but we cannot independently verify every claim. If you believe a report is inaccurate or violates these rules, please submit a dispute through the assessment results page.

6. Educational Content

Articles, courses, quizzes, and tips on the Services are written for general scam-awareness education. Examples and scenarios are composites drawn from public reporting. Examples are not intended to identify any specific person, company, or transaction.

7. External Links

The Services contain links to external websites that are not operated by us. We have no control over the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of those external sites. Inclusion of a link does not constitute endorsement.

8. No Guarantees

Use of the Services is at your sole risk. The Services are provided without warranty of any kind. TrustCertified.org does not guarantee that a search will find every relevant report or that an absence of reports indicates a person is safe. Scams evolve rapidly, and new fraudsters may not appear in any public database for months.

9. Reporting Errors

If you believe that the information returned by an assessment is materially incorrect, please use the dispute form available on the results page or contact us at legal@trustcertified.org. We will review every dispute, but we cannot promise specific outcomes.

10. Updates

We may update this Disclaimer at any time. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Disclaimer.
